### Not all franchising success came with burgers and hotels.

In the early 1960s, **Joe Francis** had a vision: bring consistent, affordable beauty services to the masses.

He launched **The Barbers**, a franchised hair salon with uniform pricing, training, and branding. It evolved into **Cost Cutters**, **Pro-Cuts**, and eventually, a family of service brands under Regis Corporation.

Joe’s brilliance was recognizing that **services could be standardized** too—not just products. His franchising strategy opened the door for everything from **cleaning services to tax prep, gyms to tutoring centers.**

It also proved franchising could thrive outside of food. If there was a need and a process, franchising could deliver.

By the end of the 1960s, service franchises were exploding—offering low overhead, recurring revenue, and strong community demand.

Today, service-based franchises represent over half of all franchise units sold. That all started with a simple haircut and a scalable idea.

Hair salons have come a long way since the 1960’s.

At [Quantum Franchise Group](https://quantumfranchisegroup.com/home?ref=bizbuildermagazine.com) we represent 21 franchises in the beauty and spa space. The salon industry grosses 75 billion dollars in revenue annually and continues to grow rapidly. With a consistent demand from women and men wanting to look their best, hair care is a business venture that’s wise to invest in.

One of our brands is a full service salon offering unparalleled personalized service. From the moment customers enter our doors, we want them to enjoy the ultimate full-service salon experience surrounded in our glamorous atmosphere.

By creating a service menu that spans beyond blowouts into additional hair care and beauty services as well as offering our private label products available for purchase, the brand has generated a constant and easy to predict cash flow that is to be expected by a franchise. The prices that customers will find at your Salon and Beauty Bar are affordable compared to those of a typical salon, providing women and men with the luxury that they desire without being overcharged. Our franchisees love the multiple revenue streams and their clients love that it’s all under one roof.

Our ultra-modern high end salon design and brand imaging combine to form an inviting and alluring salon experience. And we back that up with the kind of service experience customers want but at a great value.

We offer a full line of our own private label hair care products. Our customers love when their favorite stylists recommend our Get Moxified® shampoos, conditioners and other products they need to maintain their look between salon visits.
