It doesn’t take destruction from a major earthquake (likely), an El Niño weather event (coming), or a monster attack (pending?) to do well in the specialty restoration business.

As you look to be a business owner, consider *Prism Specialty Restoration.* Fire/smoke…water…mold…vandalism…everyday property losses happen all the time, and when they do, there’s often much more to restore than the building itself.

### Prism Specialty Restoration focuses on the inside stuff.

Electronics and appliances. Artwork and collectibles. Textiles and soft goods. Documents and data. Even commercial machinery and equipment. The things homeowners and businesses would rather restore than replace, and which traditional restoration contractors often aren't equipped to handle.

To be clear, this isn't a business where the franchise owner spends the day cleaning smoke-damaged artwork. Instead, the owner’s primary role is to build the business by developing relationships with insurance adjusters, restoration contractors and other referral partners, while managing a relatively small team of trained technicians who perform the restoration work.

### Here are a few things about Prism that caught my attention:

- Specialty restoration rather than general disaster cleanup
- Multiple service lines: art, electronics, textiles and documents
- Owner manages sales, relationships, team and growth rather than doing restoration work
- Insurance-driven demand
- Residential plus commercial opportunities
- B2B referral relationships with adjusters and restoration contractors
- No inventory and relatively small employee footprint
- Large protected territories

Prism provides welcomed services to a specialized niche within a much larger restoration industry, with an owner’s role centered heavily around business development, team-building, and growth.

No monster attack required.
