John grew up in Arizona and developed a strong work ethic from an early age, helping with his father's janitorial business before building a successful career across logistics, warehouse management, automotive mechanics, and entrepreneurship. After becoming a top performing delivery driver and warehouse manager with Ashley Furniture, he transitioned into the automotive industry, where he became a leading diesel and off road suspension mechanic. In 2024, he launched his own carpet cleaning business, continuing his passion for business ownership and customer service.
Aza brings more than 14 years of experience in the nonprofit sector across Washington, D.C. and Arizona. After earning her degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Arizona, she began her career with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage before moving into development and project management roles. She later joined Arizona State University, where she led a team of project managers responsible for delivering more than 1,000 projects annually. Today, she serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships for Ashesi University in Ghana.
Although Aza spent part of her childhood in Ghana before returning to Arizona, she has always remained deeply connected to her family and community. She is a proud mother of two and enjoys teaching her children about their heritage while spending time outdoors with her family.
One fun fact about this partnership: Aza and John were high school sweethearts who found their way back to each other after nearly a decade apart.
What attracted them to Puddle Pools was its simple, 100 percent mobile business model, which can be operated entirely from a phone using proprietary technology. We start all our locations with 1 technician in 1 service vehicle. All the equipment needed is kept inside the vehicle, so there is no need for storage. Being a home-based business, the fixed costs are minimal.
Who are the Customers? Anyone with a pool, spa or even fountains. Family Households, HOA communities, Apartments, Airbnb’s, Hotels, Gyms etc. Puddle’s marketing programs focus on both B2B & B2C out of the gates. The B2C component is beneficial to grow and scale the location with the B2B campaign running alongside.
